Tao Chen,Founder & CEO
Tao Chen has over 20 years of general, R&D and engineering management expertise in both start-up companies and large organizations. He is an enthusiastic technologist and decisive leader. He enjoys solving problems, values continuous learning, and loves working with exceptional people designing exceptional products.
Mr. Tao Chen has bachelor of engineering (EE) and master of science(CS) degree from Texas University. He ran a clear line of career fro junior engineer, intermediate engineer, senior engineer, team leader, manager and director of R&D at large corporations. He founded the Remotronic at 2013.
Bernard Caron, VP of Research and Development
Mr. Bernard Caron worked at the Communications Research Centre (CRC) as the Vice-President of the Broadcast Technology Branch until he retired in 2012. Mr.
Caron joined the CRC in 1979 and assumed his role as a VP in 2004.
During these years at CRC, he contributed to many technological advancements, including the development of videotext and teletext systems, the precursors of the Internet, and the creation of the CRC's Advanced Television Evaluation Laboratory (ATEL). This laboratory was used to subjectively evaluate five proposed television systems, out of which emerged today's North American standard for High Definition Television.
Mr. Caron received a B. Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Université Laval, Québec City, in 1978 and a M. Sc. from the University of Ottawa in 1984. He is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario. He has published more than 70 papers and reports.
Mr. Caron joined Remotronic at April 2015.
Jim Carty, VP of Business Development
Accomplished professional with extensive experience in channel development, sales, marketing and support in the IT industry, specifically in telecommunications, Security, Document Management and HR Talent Management applications. Record of success developing and implementing strategies and solutions generating significant revenue in both public and private sector markets in North America and internationally. Recognized for ability to build long term relationships with key personnel and close sales in new and existing accounts in heavily competitive markets. Well-versed in sales lifecycles and skilled strategist/negotiator. Exceptional trainer and presenter with skills to motivate audiences of all types to the desired action.
Mr. Carty joined Remotronic at January 2015.
David Choi, VP of Product Management
David Choi, A senior product and entrepreneurial business leader, has a solid track record in product development, program/project management and staff management in the Wireless/e-health industry. He is a pioneer in a small cell and wireless backhaul product architecture and has been successfully launching and delivering several markets winning wireless infrastructure products (e.g. LTE, WiMAX, HSPA, CDMA, and outdoor WiFi). He has co-founded two startup companies (Blinq Networks and Zamani Wireless Solutions) and successfully raised more than $10 Million investor funding. David current focus is to exploit the advanced wireless, AI and Machine Learning technology for e-health applications.
